Direct high-voltage battery pairing (180–600 V) eliminates heavy step-up conversion losses, while internal high-speed switchgear provides sub-10 ms emergency power. Pairs directly with GoodWe Lynx Home F (6.55–16.38 kWh) and Lynx D high-voltage batteries at up to 25 A. Sub-10 ms automatic UPS transfer keeps home computers, routers, and heating electronics live during outages. IP66 cast-aluminum casing allows clean indoor utility mounting or outdoor sheltered installation (-35 to +60 °C).

Runs peak conversion at 97.6 percent

Three-phase power electronics hold 97.6 percent peak efficiency. Lower conversion loss keeps more of each charge cycle in the pack.

Sits in a 415 x 516 x 180 mm IP66 shell

The same BT wall footprint takes the 8 kW rating. Dust and weather sealing stay at IP66 for indoor or outdoor mounts.

Talks to meters and portals on RS485

RS485 plus WiFi or LAN carry commissioning and live telemetry. One chassis covers local bus and network links.

Can the GW8K-BT charge the battery from an existing non-GoodWe solar inverter?

Yes. Universal AC compatibility with any existing solar inverter brand. Because the GW8K-BT connects to the home's standard 400 V AC distribution board, it does not care what brand of solar inverter is installed on the roof (SMA, Fronius, SolarEdge, Huawei, etc.). The GoodWe GM3000 smart meter measures net power exchange at the utility meter and signals the GW8K-BT to absorb excess AC solar generation into the battery bank.

What is the maximum continuous AC export current on this model?

13.3 A per phase; 16 A or 20 A 3-pole circuit breaker. The GW8K-BT delivers a nominal continuous output current of 12.1 A per phase (max output current 13.3 A @ 400 V). A 3-pole 16 A or 20 A circuit breaker (MCB) on the main distribution panel is standard for European installations.
