Description

Independent module-level power control without aging bottlenecks.

GoodWe LX D5.0-10 is a 5.0 kWh high-voltage LFP battery pack featuring an integrated DC-DC converter and decentralized BMS in every unit, allowing direct 320–480 V output and multi-year pack expansion without aging penalties.

GoodWe LX D5.0-10
  • Integrated Decentralized DC-DC Converter

Each module outputs high voltage directly, eliminating master controller bottlenecks and single points of failure.

  • Zero Aging-Mismatch Penalty

Advanced pack-level DC regulation allows combining brand-new modules with older battery packs without capacity degradation.

  • Direct High-Voltage Bus (320–480 V)

Feeds three-phase hybrid inverters directly from a single 5 kWh pack, avoiding low-voltage step-up losses.

  • Modular Parallel Scaling up to 40 kWh

Connect up to 8 standalone packs in parallel to scale storage capacity smoothly over time.

More product details

In traditional series battery towers, the weakest or oldest cell determines the capacity and charge current of the entire stack. The LX D5.0-10 features an active DC-DC converter inside each pack, isolating modules from cell-mismatch degradation.

  • Active bidirectional DC-DC converter regulates output voltage independently between 320 V and 480 V.
  • Allows parallel mixing of different manufacturing batches and different battery ages without capacity loss.
  • Eliminates stack-level single points of failure. If one pack is offline, remaining packs continue operating.

Traditional high-voltage batteries require at least 2 or 3 stacked bricks just to reach minimum inverter starting voltages. A single LX D5.0-10 outputs 320–480 V directly, allowing entry-level 5 kWh high-voltage installations. Connects directly to GoodWe ET (5–30 kW) and EH/BH hybrid inverters without external voltage boosters. Direct CAN/RS485 communication link synchronizes real-time battery status with the hybrid inverter. IP55 weatherproof enclosure certified for unheated basements, technical utility rooms, and sheltered outdoor alcoves.

Fits a floor stack or a wall

The 700 x 380 x 170 mm case sits on a pedestal or a wall bracket. 52 kg either way.

Grows to eight modules on two groups

One group stops at four bricks. A second group takes the system to eight modules and 40 kWh.

Talks over CAN to the hybrid

CAN sits on this brick. The hybrid reads the module as one high-voltage store.

Technical data

The next-generation decentralized battery architecture that ends battery aging mismatch.

5.0 kWh high-voltage standalone pack with integrated internal BMS and DC-DC converter.

Unlike conventional series-stacked battery systems that require an external master controller and suffer when old and new modules are mixed, the LX D5.0-10 integrates its own power electronics into every pack. Each unit outputs 320–480 V independently, allowing homeowners and commercial operators to start with a single 5 kWh pack and expand capacity years later without dragging down system performance.

Staged Multi-Year Residential Capacity Expansion

Staged Multi-Year Residential Capacity Expansion

Homeowners who want to start with a budget-friendly 5 kWh or 10 kWh battery today, but plan to add extra battery capacity in 2 to 4 years when purchasing an EV or heat pump.

On traditional series batteries (like Lynx Home F), adding a new module after 2+ years causes severe capacity mismatch because the old modules limit the new one. The LX D5.0-10's decentralized DC-DC converters manage each pack independently, unlocking 100% capacity from new packs.

Commercial Workshops & Small Facilities Needing High-Voltage Redundancy

Commercial sites requiring 15–40 kWh of storage where downtime is unacceptable.

Parallel decentralized architecture ensures that if one battery pack requires maintenance or inspection, the remaining parallel packs continue running the facility seamlessly.

Product questions

How does the Lynx D (LX D5.0-10) differ fundamentally from the Lynx Home F series?

Lynx D has built-in DC-DC in every pack; Lynx F is a traditional series stack. * Lynx Home F: Traditional series stack where 2 to 5 dumb modules connect in series to a master PCU base. System voltage scales with height (102 V per module). Adding a new module years later causes aging mismatch. * Lynx D (LX D5.0-10): Every 5 kWh pack has its own internal BMS and DC-DC converter, outputting 320–480 V directly. Multiple packs connect in parallel, allowing you to add brand-new modules to an aged system without performance loss.

Can I really connect just one 5 kWh LX D5.0-10 pack to a GoodWe ET three-phase inverter?

Yes. A single pack outputs 320–480 V directly. Because each LX D5.0-10 pack integrates an internal DC-DC step-up converter, it delivers 320 V to 480 V DC output from a single module. This comfortably exceeds the 180 V starting threshold of GoodWe ET three-phase hybrid inverters, making a true 1-pack (5 kWh) high-voltage installation possible.

What is the maximum number of LX D5.0-10 packs that can be connected in parallel?

Up to 8 packs in parallel (40 kWh total storage). You can parallel up to 8 units of LX D5.0-10 on a single system bus, scaling storage capacity from 5.0 kWh up to 40.0 kWh without requiring external master controller hardware.
