Direct high-voltage battery pairing (180–600 V) eliminates heavy step-up conversion losses, while internal high-speed switchgear provides sub-10 ms emergency power. Pairs directly with GoodWe Lynx Home F (6.55–16.38 kWh) and Lynx D high-voltage batteries at up to 25 A. Sub-10 ms automatic UPS transfer keeps home computers, routers, and heating electronics live during outages. IP66 cast-aluminum casing allows clean indoor utility mounting or outdoor sheltered installation (-35 to +60 °C).

Takes 25 A into 180 to 600 V packs

A dedicated battery interface moves charge and discharge current up to 25 A. High-voltage lithium chemistry matches the port without a low-voltage converter stage.

Fits a 415 x 516 x 180 mm wall frame

The 21.0 kg enclosure measures 415 x 516 x 180 mm. IP66 sealing keeps dust and weather off the electronics on an interior or exterior wall.

Talks over RS485, WiFi or LAN

Local commissioning and fleet monitoring share the same ports. RS485 plus WiFi or LAN sit in the chassis without an external gateway box.

Does the GW5K-BT have any DC solar panel inputs?

No. It is a pure AC-coupled battery inverter. The GW5K-BT has zero MPPT or solar PV inputs. It is dedicated entirely to charging and discharging high-voltage battery storage from the home's 400 V AC bus. If you need solar PV string inputs on the same inverter, choose a hybrid inverter from the GoodWe GW5K-ET series.

How does the inverter know when to charge from existing solar inverters?

Real-time telemetry from the GoodWe GM3000 smart meter. The system measures total household power at the main utility grid connection point using a GoodWe GM3000 three-phase meter connected via RS485. When existing solar inverters generate more power than the home consumes, the BT inverter immediately absorbs the excess AC power to charge the battery bank.
