The three models differ only in AC output: 5000 W, 8000 W and 10000 W, all three-phase. Pick the rating that matches the charge and discharge power the storage retrofit must move.

  • Shared platform: every model uses the same 415 x 516 x 180 mm enclosure at 21.0 kg, rated IP66.
  • Identical battery side: 180 to 600 V high-voltage Li-Ion window and 25 A maximum charge and discharge current on all three ratings.
  • Efficiency: GoodWe rates maximum efficiency at 97.6 percent across the family.

High-voltage Li-Ion packs inside the 180 to 600 V window. GoodWe's battery compatibility overview lists the Lynx D bank (LX D5.0-10) against the BT range.

  • Firmware condition: GoodWe requires ARM 28 / DSP 12 firmware or higher on the inverter for the Lynx D pairing, the same rule it applies to the ET 5-10 kW inverters.
  • Current limit: 25 A maximum charge and discharge on every model, so verify the pack's current rating against that ceiling.

Installation & wiring 1

On the AC side. The BT is an AC-coupled retrofit unit, so the existing PV inverter keeps its strings and stays in service; the BT adds the battery path alongside it.

  • Metering: a GoodWe GM330 CT meter is required for export limiting and self-consumption control, alongside the existing PV inverter's own metering.
  • Communication: RS485 plus WiFi / LAN for monitoring.
  • Placement: the IP66 enclosure permits outdoor mounting at the installation; each unit is 21.0 kg.

Operation & warranty 1

Yes. GoodWe lists a UPS function on all three models, so the inverter can switch connected loads to battery supply.

  • Power ceiling: plan critical-load circuits against the model's AC rating, 5, 8 or 10 kW depending on the unit chosen.
  • Energy source: backup runs from the connected high-voltage battery, so autonomy depends on the pack capacity you configure.
  • All ratings: the UPS function is listed identically on the 5, 8 and 10 kW models.
