Configuration 3
Match the variant the installed system already uses: the B2 HV1 family (B2-5.0-HV1 to B2-25.0-HV1) takes the BU2-5.0-HV1, and the B2 HV5 family takes the BU2-5.0-HV5.
- Electrically identical: the B2 datasheet prints the same values for both, 102.4 V, 50 Ah, 5.0 kWh rated and 4.8 kWh usable, 30 A charge and discharge limits.
- Weight: the HV1 module weighs 50.5 kg, the HV5 module 52.5 kg.
- Decision rule: SAJ states no further difference in this datasheet, so the variant already in the stack or named in the project documents decides the order code.
Each module adds 5.0 kWh rated and 4.8 kWh usable at 102.4 V nominal, and a B2 stack runs one to five modules under one BC2-HV1 control module.
- Full stack: five modules give 5 x 5.0 kWh = 25 kWh rated, the printed ceiling for the B2 HV families.
- Host platform: the B2 HV series serves SAJ's H2 and HS2 hybrid inverters; HS3 systems use the different BU3-5.0-TV2-PRO module instead.
- Current limits: 30 A maximum charge and discharge per the module rating.
No. The BU2 module is the battery building block only; every B2 stack needs one BC2-HV1 control module, listed separately at de-linker.
- New stack: order one BC2-HV1 plus one to five BU2 modules of the matching variant.
- Expansion: a stack that already runs a BC2-HV1 accepts further modules up to the five-module ceiling.
- Communication: the B2 system communicates with the host inverter over CAN, per SAJ's system datasheet.
Availability & compliance 1
Yes. The module carries UN 38.3 within the B2 certification set, and one module is one carton position of 5 kWh.
- Certification list: IEC 62619 for cell and pack, EN 62477-1 and EN 61000-6-1/-2/-3/-4, per SAJ's B2 datasheet.
- Carton mass: 50.5 kg for the HV1 module, 52.5 kg for the HV5.
- Grid paperwork: the datasheet names no grid-connection certificate for the module, so confirm the certificate set for your market, including any German requirement, with the quote.
Installation & wiring 1
Each module measures 261 x 626 x 365 mm and weighs 50.5 kg (HV1) or 52.5 kg (HV5); the assembled B2 stack is rated IP65 at system level.
- Temperature: charging is rated for 0 to 50 C, discharging for -10 to 50 C.
- Cooling: natural convection, so there are no fans to wire or service.
- Cell base: 32 series-connected LiFePO4 cells (32S1P) at 102.4 V and 50 Ah per module.
General 1
The B2 datasheet prints identical electrical values for both module variants.
- Weight: the HV1 module weighs 50.5 kg per 5 kWh step
- Other specs: SAJ states no further difference in this datasheet
