Description

SAJ BU2-5.0-HV1 is a high-voltage LiFePO4 battery module with 32S1P cells: 102.4 V nominal voltage, 50 Ah, 5.0 kWh rated energy and 4.5 kWh usable energy. One to five modules with one BC2-HV1 control module form a SAJ B2 battery system for the SAJ H2 inverter; a SAJ HS2 all-in-one system takes two to five modules.

Which systems use the BU2-5.0-HV1?

The BU2-5.0-HV1 is the battery module of the B2-5.0-HV1. The B2 battery can only be used as a set with SAJ's H2 high voltage series storage inverter.

What are the dimensions and the weight of one module?

The datasheet does not list dimensions or weight for a module on its own. For the B2-5.0-HV1, which has 1 module, the datasheet gives 261*626*365 mm (H*W*D) and 50.5 kg; these figures are stated for the system with one module, not for the module alone.

How is the module stored before installation?

Store it in a dry and ventilated environment, away from heat sources. For storage months below 3, the storage temperature is -20 °C to 40 °C at humidity below 85% RH. For long-term storage of 3 to 6 months, the temperature is -20 °C to 25 °C at humidity below 85% RH. The battery should be installed within 6 months since it was delivered from the factory.

SAJ's Configuration Instructions V1.0 (Section 2) give the H2 series system as H2 + BC2 + BU2. SAJ's B2 datasheet names B2-5.0 to B2-25.0 as one to five BU2-5.0 modules with one BC2-HV1 control module, and SAJ's B2 manual (V1.2, PDF p5) says the B2 can only be used as a set with SAJ's H2 high voltage series storage inverter. The listing does not cover the one-module B2-5.0, whose operating voltage lies below the H2 T3's battery voltage range. One BU2-5.0 module alone operates at 89.6 to 115.2 V (SAJ's B2 datasheet gives this for the one-module B2-5.0), below the H2 T3's battery voltage range of 180 to 800 V; two modules operate at 179.2 to 230.4 V.

The HS2 takes two to five BU2-5.0 battery modules (HS2/AS2 manual V0.3, PDF p12). Battery voltage range 180 to 600 V. One BU2-5.0 module alone operates at 89.6 to 115.2 V (SAJ's B2 datasheet gives this for the one-module B2-5.0), below the HS2's battery voltage range of 180 to 600 V; the HS2 manual gives two modules as the smallest stack.
