Made for the ESA stack
One of the four BAT-D module sizes (5.12 / 6.0 / 8.32 / 9.0 kWh) that stack under the ESA power module — pre-wired, plug-and-play, no external battery cabling.

Configuration 3
An ESA system accepts up to 12 battery modules, with a maximum of 6 modules per stacked column.
- Per module: 6.0 kWh rated, 5.82 kWh usable, per GoodWe's datasheet.
- With this size only: 12 x 6.0 kWh = 72 kWh rated, simple arithmetic on the module rating.
- System ceiling: GoodWe states 12 modules / 108 kWh per ESA system; the 108 kWh figure corresponds to twelve of the largest 9.0 kWh BAT-D modules (12 x 9.0 kWh = 108 kWh).
- Beyond 6 modules: plan a second stacked column next to the first.
Yes. GoodWe supports mixing modules of different capacities and combining old and new modules in one ESA system.
- Module sizes: the BAT-D-G20 line comes in 5.12, 6.0, 8.32 and 9.0 kWh, and all four stack under the same ESA power module.
- Retrofit path: capacity can be added years later without replacing the modules already installed.
- Limits still apply: 12 modules per ESA system, 6 per stacked column, regardless of the size mix.
Per GoodWe's datasheet, each 6.0 kWh module supports 3.0 kW charge and 3.0 kW discharge at system level.
- Currents: 7.1 A maximum input, 7.9 A maximum output.
- Peak support: 4.5 kW for 10 s to ride through short load spikes.
- Voltage window: 350-550 V in single-phase systems, 700-950 V in three-phase systems.
- Chemistry: LFP (LiFePO4), so size the stack against both the backup load and the required energy.
Installation & wiring 1
Yes. The module is rated IP66 and charges from -20 to +55 C using its integrated heating, per GoodWe's datasheet.
- Discharge range: -20 to +55 C as well.
- Wiring: modules stack pre-wired and plug-and-play under the ESA power module; there is no external battery cabling to run at the installation.
- Handling: each module measures 800 x 326 x 270 mm and weighs 61 kg (plus or minus 1 kg), so plan the lifting for the upper stack positions accordingly.
Availability & compliance 1
GoodWe lists the module against IEC 62619, IEC 60730, EN 62477, IEC 63056, IEC 62040, CE, CEC and VDE 2510.
- Battery safety: the listings above cover the module itself, together with IP66 ingress protection and integrated aerosol fire extinguishing.
- Grid codes: grid connection rules such as VDE-AR-N 4105 are carried by the ESA inverter, which holds a TUV Rheinland certificate for the German grid.
- Paperwork: we confirm the exact certificate set for your project with the quote.
Operation & warranty 1
GoodWe rates the module at 10,000 cycles or more under lab conditions (100% depth of discharge, 25 C plus or minus 2 C).
- Chemistry and energy: LFP (LiFePO4), 6.0 kWh rated and 5.82 kWh usable per module.
- Warranty status: GoodWe has not yet published a BAT-D-G20 module warranty document with a capacity-retention figure.
- Our practice: we confirm the current battery warranty terms in writing with each quote, so the warranty basis is fixed before you order.
