Description

Furniture-grade single-column integration with internal busbars.

GoodWe ESA GW8K-ETA-G20 is an 8 kW three-phase All-in-One hybrid inverter unit with 16 kWp solar intake and 63 A heavy-duty grid bypass, engineered to stack cable-free atop BAT-D-G20 high-voltage battery modules.

GoodWe ESA GW8K-ETA-G20 (8 kW three-phase all-in-one)
  • Cable-Free Modular Tower Stacking

Mounts directly onto BAT-D-G20 battery bricks with internal busbars, eliminating wall brackets and exposed DC conduits.

  • 16,000 W Solar PV Input (200% Oversizing)

Double solar intake ensures rapid battery charging and domestic self-consumption even on overcast winter days.

  • 63 A High-Current Grid Bypass

Heavy-duty internal bypass handles large household power surges and fast EV charging without tripping.

  • Balanced Three-Phase 400 V Output

Supplies clean, symmetrical power across all three lines to eliminate grid phase-unbalance penalties.

More product details

Traditional hybrid installations require wall-mounting an inverter, floor-standing a battery, and running multiple high-voltage DC conduits and communication cables between them. The ESA G20 integrates everything into a single vertical column.

  • Internal push-in busbars pass high-voltage power and communication directly between inverter and battery modules.
  • Eliminates exposed high-voltage DC wiring on garage and utility room walls, maximizing residential safety.
  • Modular interlocking design cuts mechanical and electrical on-site installation labor in half.

High-current grid pass-through with whole-home emergency power.

Featuring a heavy-duty 63 A internal bypass, the GW8K-ETA-G20 carries high domestic current demands without bottlenecking main service lines, while providing sub-10 ms automatic backup power. 63 A bypass capacity allows high-draw domestic equipment (EV wallboxes, heat pumps) to run on main lines without tripping. 16,000 W PV intake captures extensive daytime solar generation, charging battery bricks at full speed. IP66 cast-aluminum casing certified for clean indoor or sheltered outdoor installations (-35 to +60 °C).

Runs 8.8 kW continuous battery output

Internal power electronics support 8.0 kW continuous charging and 8.8 kW discharging across a 700 to 950 V battery window.

Fits 1000 V solar strings across 3 trackers

Three independent MPPT inputs accept 21 A string current and 26 A short-circuit current up to 1000 V maximum DC voltage.

Stands outdoors in sealed IP66 housing

The rugged IP66 enclosure operates quietly at 30 dB under 25 C ambient temperatures with integrated smart fan management.

Product questions

What battery modules are compatible with the ESA GW8K-ETA-G20 inverter?

Exclusively compatible with GoodWe GW6.0-BAT-D-G20 and GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 battery packs. The ESA G20 series is an integrated All-in-One architecture. The inverter unit stacks directly onto GW6.0-BAT-D-G20 (6.0 kWh) or GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 (9.0 kWh) battery modules using internal busbar connectors. It cannot be paired with standalone Lynx Home F or Lynx D batteries.

What does the 63 A grid bypass rating mean in practical installation?

Whole-home grid pass-through without external bypass switchgear. The inverter's internal bypass contactor can continuously carry up to 63 A per phase from the utility grid. This allows your main household distribution panel to be wired directly through the inverter's backup switch without risking overload trips when high-power appliances (electric vehicle chargers, ovens, heat pumps) run simultaneously while grid-connected.

Required components

GoodWe GM3000 three-phase smart meter

Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GM3000

The ESA controls self-consumption and export limiting from a grid-point measurement; in GoodWe three-phase systems this is a GoodWe smart meter with clip-on CT. Confirm which meter/CT variant is already in the scope of delivery of your ESA order before adding one.

GoodWe GM330 three-phase CT meter (large-mains alternative)

Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GM330

CT-based alternative where the service is too large for direct metering or the meter must sit in an existing distribution board. It is also one of the two meters GoodWe names for generator integration (GMK330 or GM330 per the ESA user manual).

Recommended components

GoodWe GW6.0 / GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 battery modules

Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GW60BATDG20

Storage scales purely by stacking modules, up to 12 per system (max 6 per column) to 108 kWh, and GoodWe explicitly allows mixing capacities and old/new modules. The 6.0 and 9.0 kWh G20 modules are the >=10,000-cycle versions with integrated heating for winter charging.

GoodWe HCA G2 GW11K-HCA-20 EV charger

Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GW11KHCA20

The ESA user manual lists GoodWe AC charging piles as directly connectable. The 11 kW HCA G2 charges the car from PV surplus and shares the same SEMS+ app as the ESA, completing the home-energy package.

Optional components

GoodWe GMK330 smart meter (generator integration)

Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GMK330

Needed (GMK330 or GM330) when a backup generator should be controlled by the ESA and allowed to charge the battery, per the ESA user manual.
