Description

SAJ B2-15.0-HV1 is a high-voltage LiFePO4 battery system made of one BC2-HV1 control module and three BU2-5.0-HV1 battery modules: 15.0 kWh rated energy, 13.5 kWh usable energy, 307.2 V nominal voltage. It works only as a set with a SAJ H2 series storage inverter.

  • One BC2-HV1 control module and three BU2-5.0-HV1 battery modules: 15.0 kWh rated energy and 13.5 kWh usable energy, 90 % depth of discharge.

  • 307.2 V nominal voltage and 9216 W rated power; maximum charge and discharge current 30 A.

  • IP65; ground mounting or optional wall mounting; charging at 0 to 50 °C, discharging at -10 to 50 °C.

  • One B2 stack holds one to five BU2-5.0-HV1 modules on one BC2-HV1, 5.0 to 25.0 kWh rated energy.

30 A charge and discharge current.

Maximum charge current and maximum discharge current are 30 A. Rated power is 9216 W at 307.2 V nominal voltage; the operating voltage is 268.8 to 345.6 V.

IP65, on the ground or on the wall.

Ingress protection is IP65 and cooling is by natural convection. The stack is mounted vertically, on the ground or optionally on a wall, indoors or outdoors, with 50 cm clearance above, on both sides and in front. An indoor or sheltered place is suggested, away from direct sunlight, rain and snow.

SAJ BU2-HV1

The BC2-HV1 control module is the top unit of the stack and carries the circuit breaker, the display, the start button and the battery and communication ports to the inverter. Below it: 3 × BU2-5.0-HV1, each with 32S1P cells, 102.4 V and 50 Ah. Control module and battery modules together measure 983 × 626 × 365 mm (H × W × D) and weigh 162.5 kg.

Where and how is the stack installed?

The battery employs either ground mounting or wall mounting, and its position is determined by the drilled holes of the bracket. Mount vertically; never install the battery tilted forwards, sideways, horizontally or upside down. For wall mounting, a solid wall is recommended; cavity wall and timber wall are not allowed.

SAJ's Configuration Instructions V1.0 (Section 2) give the H2 series system as H2 + BC2 + BU2. SAJ's B2 datasheet names B2-5.0 to B2-25.0 as one to five BU2-5.0 modules with one BC2-HV1 control module, and SAJ's B2 manual (V1.2, PDF p5) says the B2 can only be used as a set with SAJ's H2 high voltage series storage inverter. The listing does not cover the one-module B2-5.0, whose operating voltage lies below the H2 T3's battery voltage range.
