Configuration 2
One BC2-HV1 control module plus one to five BU2-5.0-HV battery modules per stack. That gives 5.0 to 25.0 kWh nominal, matching the B2-5.0 through B2-25.0 system labels.
- Control module: exactly one BC2-HV1 per stack, whatever the module count; the SAJ B2 datasheet prints it in both the HV1 and HV5 tables.
- Arithmetic: capacity is module count times 5.0 kWh, so 5 x 5.0 kWh = 25.0 kWh at full height.
- Usable energy: SAJ rates 96 percent depth of discharge on every B2/BU2 module size.
The BU2-5.0-HV modules serve the SAJ H2 and HS2 hybrid inverters. The BU3-5.0-TV2-PRO is the HS3 stack module and pairs only with the HS3 three-phase hybrids (HS3-5K to HS3-12K-T2-W/G-PX); the two module types are not interchangeable.
- HS3 scaling: up to 8 BU3 modules per system per the HS3 datasheet, 8 x 5.0 kWh = 40 kWh maximum.
- H2/HS2 scaling: up to 5 BU2 modules behind one BC2-HV1, 25.0 kWh maximum.
- System voltage: the BU3-based HS3 stack runs 380 to 500 V with up to 30 A charge and discharge, model dependent.
Installation & wiring 1
Both module families carry an IP65 ingress rating. SAJ lists the B2 system as wall-mounted (optional) or ground-mounted, with defined climate limits.
- Temperature: for the B2 system, SAJ permits charging from 0 to 50 C and discharging from -10 to 50 C, at 0 to 95 percent non-condensing humidity.
- Handling: the BC2-HV1 head unit is 220 x 626 x 365 mm at 11 kg; each BU3 module is 420 x 695 x 170 mm at 53.0 kg, so plan the lift accordingly.
- Communication: the stack reports to the host inverter over CAN.
Operation & warranty 1
LiFePO4 cells with 96 percent depth of discharge on every B2/BU2 module size, per SAJ's datasheet.
- Thermal design: natural convection cooling, so there is no fan or active thermal management to maintain.
- Protection: the BC2-HV1 control module is rated for 100 A maximum fault current per the datasheet control-module rows.
- Cold-weather note: charging is specified from 0 C upward; below that the pack may discharge (down to -10 C) but not charge, per the stated ranges.
Availability & compliance 2
SAJ lists IEC 62619 for cell and pack, EN 62477-1, EN 61000-6-1/2/3/4 and UN38.3 for the B2 high-voltage battery system.
- Transport: UN38.3 is included in the listed set, relevant for freight planning on lithium batteries.
- Documents: the SAJ B2 HV1 / HV5 series high-voltage battery datasheet (AU, EN) is on file.

- Datasheet note: SAJ's B2 datasheet does not specify a base item, so the base is a carton-level option to settle at order time rather than a spec difference.
