Every tier is built from the same two blocks: BU2-5.0-HV1 battery modules (32S1P, 102.4 V / 50 Ah, LiFePO4) stacked with one BC2-HV1 control module. The model number states the rated energy.

  • B2-5.0-HV1: 1 module, 5.0 kWh rated, 4.8 kWh usable.
  • B2-10.0-HV1: 2 modules, 10.0 kWh rated, 9.6 kWh usable, 6144 W rated power.
  • B2-15.0-HV1: 3 modules, 15.0 kWh rated, 14.4 kWh usable, 9216 W.
  • B2-20.0-HV1: 4 modules, 20.0 kWh rated, 19.2 kWh usable, 12288 W.

Yes. The stack design runs from one to five BU2-5.0-HV1 modules behind the same BC2-HV1 control unit, so a 5.0 kWh install can grow to 25.0 kWh rated.

  • Voltage rises with count: nominal voltage goes from 204.8 V at 2 modules to 512 V at 5, so re-check the host inverter's battery voltage window after every expansion step.
  • Power rises too: per SAJ's table, rated power climbs from 6144 W at 2 modules to 15360 W at 5.
  • Same footprint: the tower grows only in height, from 522 mm at 2 modules to 1305 mm at 5, on the same 626 x 365 mm base.

SAJ positions the B2 HV platform as the battery for its H2 and HS2 hybrid inverters, connected over CAN.

  • Voltage match: the operating window spans 89.6 to 115.2 V with one module up to 448 to 576.0 V with five; confirm it sits inside the inverter's battery input range before final sizing.
  • HS3 exception: the BU3-5.0-TV2-PRO module carried in this family uses the same LiFePO4 chemistry but pairs only with HS3, not with H2 or HS2.
  • HV5 sibling: SAJ's datasheet also lists B2 HV5 tiers on the BU2-5.0-HV5 module at identical energy ratings; confirm availability before planning around HV5.

Yes. The enclosure is IP65-rated, protection class I, for wall-mounted or ground-mounted installation.

  • Weight planning: the module stack weighs 101 kg at 2 modules up to 252.5 kg at 5, plus 11 kg for the control module; plan lifting and anchoring accordingly.
  • Cooling: natural convection, so there are no fans to wire or maintain.
  • Communication: a single CAN link to the host inverter.
  • Ambient: 0 to 95% non-condensing humidity.

Operation & warranty 1

SAJ rates every tier at 30 A maximum charge and discharge current with 96% usable depth of discharge.

  • Temperature: charging is specified from 0 to 50 C, discharging from -10 to 50 C.
  • Usable energy: 96% of rated on every tier, for example 24.0 of 25.0 kWh on the five-module stack.
  • Firmware: remote upgrade is supported.
  • Warranty: SAJ's datasheet refers to the warranty card rather than printing a term, so ask for the current warranty document with your quote.

SAJ's datasheet lists battery safety, EMC and transport standards for the series.

  • Safety: IEC 62619 (cell and pack) and EN 62477-1.
  • EMC: EN 61000-6-1/2/3/4.
  • Transport: UN38.3.
  • Registration paperwork: the battery datasheet does not carry a grid-code certificate list of its own, so confirm the exact certificate set your network operator needs together with the quote.
