Configuration 2

The SAJ CB3 series; the battery input accepts 750 to 950 V LFP clusters at up to 200 A.

  • Rack build: CB3-M20 stackable 20.096 kWh modules with a CB3-HVC control module per cluster; the HVC is required and is a separate order code.
  • Cabinet build: the CB3-L261 liquid-cooled cabinet at 261 kWh.
  • Cluster range: 60 to 260 kWh per cluster, per SAJ's CH3 and CB3 datasheet.
  • Current: maximum charging and discharging current is 200 A on every CH3 rating, from the 75 kW to the 125 kW model.

The split is PV string count and AC power; the chassis is the same 135 kg, IP66 unit across the range.

  • T6 models: CH3-75K-T6 and CH3-80K-T6, 6 MPPT with 2 strings each, PV arrays up to 150 and 160 kWp.
  • T8 models: CH3-99.9K-T8, 100K-T8, 110K-T8 and 125K-T8, 8 MPPT with 2 strings each, PV arrays up to 200, 200, 220 and 250 kWp.
  • Grid-limited connections: the CH3-99.9K-T8 holds output at 99.9 kVA where the connection must stay under 100 kVA; the 100K-T8 is the full 100 kVA unit.
  • Oversizing: every rating accepts a PV array of about twice its AC power, for example 250 kWp on the 125 kW model.

Installation & wiring 1

Higher string voltage moves the same power at lower current, which cuts DC-side cost across the array.

  • MPPT window: 300 to 1500 V, with a 1050 V rated DC voltage and 1500 V maximum; strings start at 400 V.
  • Current limits: 40 A maximum DC input current with a 55 A short-circuit rating, 2 strings per tracker, per SAJ's datasheet.
  • Cabling: a 1500 V string carries the same power at lower current than a 1000 V string, so DC cable cross-section, combiner count and DC-side losses all fall.
  • Protection: an integrated string-level disconnector, Type II surge protection on DC and AC, and optional AFCI.

Operation & warranty 2

Backup carries full rated power, and both the transfer switch and the EMS are integrated in the inverter.

  • Backup rating: maximum backup output equals the AC rating, 75 to 125 kVA across the family.
  • Overload headroom: 1.1 times rated power continuously and 1.55 times rated for 1 s in backup, per SAJ.
  • Generator port: accepts up to twice the AC rating, for example 150 kW at 227.8 A on the 75 kW unit and 250 kW at 379.8 A on the 125 kW unit.
  • No external STS: transfer switching and energy management are built in; the generator lands on a port on the inverter.

SAJ backs the CH3 with a 5 or 10 year warranty and rates it for a wide ambient window.

  • Warranty: 5 or 10 years per SAJ's datasheet; state the required term in your request.
  • Ambient: -30 to +60 C operation, with derating between 45 and 50 C, up to 3000 m altitude, smart air cooling, IP66 enclosure.
  • Efficiency: SAJ publishes at least 98 percent maximum efficiency, at least 97.5 percent Euro efficiency, and at least 98 percent battery-to-AC efficiency as minimum figures.
  • Monitoring: LED indicators plus WLAN and app monitoring, per SAJ's datasheet.

SAJ lists the IEC set below and marks the current CH3 datasheet as preliminary; confirm the certificate set with the quote before contract.

  • Standards: IEC 61727, IEC 62116, IEC 62109-1 and -2, and EN 61000-6-2 and -4, per SAJ.
