More product details

Standard copper RS485 communication lines suffer severe electromagnetic noise and packet loss when routed alongside high-voltage MV transformers and heavy industrial drives. The SEC3000C integrates an industrial optical fiber ring switch.

  • Optical fiber transceivers transmit telemetry over thousands of meters with zero electromagnetic interference.
  • Ring topology ensures communication redundancy. If one fiber link is severed, data reroutes in milliseconds.
  • Internal pre-wired optical patch panel streamlines field fiber termination and testing.

High-speed active/reactive power modulation and SCADA integration.

High-speed active/reactive power modulation and SCADA integration.

Factory-assembled in a robust IP65 outdoor enclosure, the SEC3000C provides sub-second closed-loop control to modulate active power export and reactive power (Q(U), cos φ) across 60 inverters. Enforces contractual zero-export and custom utility power curtailment limits in real time. Supports Modbus TCP protocol for seamless integration into central utility SCADA and EMS dispatch platforms. IP65 die-cast enclosure installs cleanly on external walls or pad-mounted distribution frames (-30 to +60 °C).

Holds a 15-port ethernet switch

LAN inverters stop at 10. The switch sits in this cabinet. RS485 inverters stop at 60.

Sits on 100 to 240 V AC

Frequency is 50 / 60 Hz. Draw is 25 W or less. Temperature is minus 30 to 60 C.

Holds a GM330 in the cabinet

The meter is one GM330. The logger is one EzLogger3000C. Both sit behind the IP66 door.

Product questions

What is the main advantage of the SEC3000C over the standard SEC3000?

Built-in industrial optical fiber ring switch for long-distance, noise-free communication. While both units manage up to 60 inverters, the SEC3000C integrates an optical fiber ring network switch. This allows plant designers to connect distant inverter stations via single-mode or multi-mode optical fiber, eliminating communication packet dropouts caused by high-voltage electromagnetic fields and ground potential differences.

What optical connectors and fiber types are supported?

Standard SC/ST/FC industrial optical interfaces supporting single-mode and multi-mode fiber. The internal optical transceivers support standard industrial fiber connections, allowing reliable data transmission across distances exceeding 2,000 to 10,000 meters depending on the optical module selected.
