Description
Converting excess solar generation into hot water thermal storage.
GoodWe EzManager3000 is an intelligent Home Energy Management System (HEMS) gateway with SG Ready heat pump control and dynamic tariff optimization, engineered to coordinate rooftop solar, battery storage, and home heating into an automated self-consumption ecosystem.
SG Ready Heat Pump Integration
Automatically signals heat pumps to boost thermal storage buffers when rooftop solar exceeds household baselines.
Dynamic Spot-Market Tariff Arbitrage
Automates battery charging during negative or low-cost hourly electricity windows and discharges during peak hours.
Unified Whole-Home Energy Orchestration
Synchronizes solar inverters, battery stacks, and EV chargers into a single optimized self-consumption schedule.
Compact DIN-Rail Breaker Panel Mounting
Installs cleanly on standard 35 mm DIN rails inside domestic distribution boards with minimal standby draw.
More product details
Exporting surplus solar for low feed-in tariffs wastes valuable energy. The EzManager3000 features SG Ready dry-contact relay outputs that command heat pumps to raise buffer tank temperatures when solar generation exceeds household electricity demands.
- Direct dry-contact relay interface compatible with all standard European SG Ready heat pump controllers.
- Modulates thermal buffer setpoints dynamically based on real-time solar surplus and battery state-of-charge.
- Maximizes annual solar self-consumption by storing surplus energy in thermal hot water buffers.

Automated battery charging during negative and off-peak price hours.
European electricity markets increasingly adopt dynamic hourly spot pricing (such as Tibber, Awattar, Nord Pool). The EzManager3000 downloads 24-hour day-ahead pricing automatically to schedule charging. Automatically charges the home battery during negative or low-cost night pricing windows. Discharges stored energy during expensive morning and evening utility peak demand windows. Real-time energy flow tracking, cost analytics, and custom appliance automation managed via SEMS portal.
Talks over LAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Wi-Fi is 802.11 b/g/n. Bluetooth is 5.2. Field ports are four RS485, four DI, two DO, one CAN and one AI.
Holds twelve Shelly devices
Shelly count is twelve. Heat-pump count is one, SG-Ready. EV-charger count is two.
Talks Modbus-TCP and Modbus-RTU
Ethernet carries Modbus-TCP. RS485 carries Modbus-RTU. Draw stays at 7 W or less.

GoodWe EzManager3000 datasheet (EN)Product questions
What is "SG Ready" and how does the gateway connect to my heat pump?
Standardized 2-wire dry contact that tells the heat pump when solar surplus is available. "SG Ready" (Smart Grid Ready) is the European industrial standard for smart heat pumps. The EzManager3000 connects via a simple 2-wire low-voltage control cable to the heat pump’s SG Ready digital inputs, signaling the compressor to ramp up thermal storage whenever rooftop solar generation exceeds domestic demand.
How does the gateway connect to home Wi-Fi and the inverter?
Hardwired RS485/Ethernet to the inverter; Wi-Fi or LAN to the home router. The unit mounts inside the main electrical distribution box on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. It connects via RS485/Ethernet to the GoodWe hybrid inverter and joins the home network via Wi-Fi or RJ45 Ethernet to download dynamic electricity prices.
