GoodWe GW50K07-BTC
GoodWe GW50K07-BTC is a three-phase AC-coupled retrofit battery inverter rated 50 kW, used to add storage to an existing commercial PV array without rewiring the PV side.
- AC-coupled design: no PV input stage, pairs on the AC side with an existing PV inverter, 200-865 V battery window.
- Backup output matches the inverter's full rated AC power (50/100 kVA); up to 97.6% max. efficiency (97.3% European weighted).
- Same C&I compatibility scope as the ETC: GoodWe's table lists only the Lynx C battery bank against the ETC/BTC pair.

Configuration 2
No PV input. The BTC is the AC-coupled retrofit unit: the existing PV inverter keeps its strings and MPPT layout, and the BTC adds battery power conversion on the AC side.
- Ratings: GW50K07-BTC at 50 kW nominal / 55 kVA maximum, GW100K07-BTC at 100 kW / 110 kVA, both three-phase 400 V.
- Battery inputs: one input on the 50 kW model, two on the 100 kW model, each at 100 A continuous.
- Shared scope: GoodWe's C&I compatibility table lists the same Lynx C battery against the ETC/BTC pair.
- Use case: adding storage to an existing C&I PV plant without touching the PV inverter.
GoodWe lists the Lynx C system only. Each battery input takes up to three Lynx C cabinets, covering 101 kWh to 936 kWh per GoodWe's compatibility table.
- Voltage window: 200 to 865 V high-voltage Li-Ion.
- Firmware: GoodWe's C&I table requires Lynx C EMS firmware 02 or higher with the 50 kW unit and 00 or higher with the 100 kW unit.
- Power: 50 kW charge / 55 kW discharge on the 50 kW model; 100 kW charge / 110 kW discharge on the 100 kW model.
Installation & wiring 1
No. The datasheet rates the cabinet IP20 with smart fan cooling, so it belongs in a plant room or switch room at the installation.
- Footprint and weight: 585 x 1360 x 750 mm; 170.5 kg (50 kW) or 212.0 kg (100 kW), so plan the floor route and handling.
- AC sizing: maximum AC current to grid is 79.8 A on the 50 kW model and 159.5 A on the 100 kW model, per GoodWe's datasheet.
- Metering: the GoodWe SEC3000C is the required metering unit for a C&I BTC install; it bundles a GM330 meter with parallel-inverter connection.
- BMS link: RS485 and CAN to the battery.
Operation & warranty 1
Back-up nominal apparent power equals the full rated AC output: 50 kVA on the GW50K07-BTC and 100 kVA on the GW100K07-BTC.
- Protections: DC switch, AC switch, anti-islanding and remote shutdown are integrated; AC surge protection is Type II, with Type I + II optional.
- Climate limits: operation from -20 to +60 C with derating above 45 C, and up to 4000 m altitude.
- Efficiency: 97.6 percent maximum, 97.3 percent European weighted and 97.2 percent battery to AC, per GoodWe's datasheet.
Availability & compliance 1
The fact set on file for this family does not include a grid-code certificate list, so confirm the certificate set for your target grid operator with the quote.
- Documents: the GoodWe BTC 50-100 kW datasheet (EMEA, EN) is on file.
- Grid interface: the datasheet states 400 V three-phase output at 50 / 60 Hz with integrated anti-islanding.
- Ordering: name the country and grid operator in the project inquiry and we confirm the applicable certificates before the order.
