- Module sizes: 5.02 kWh (BD-5-S2) and 8 kWh (BD-8-S2)
- Per tower: up to 6 modules floor-standing (3 wall-mounted)
- Per inverter: per EcoFlow's official compatibility matrix, up to 12 modules per three-phase OCEAN 2 inverter (up to 60 kWh with one inverter), with multiple towers connected in parallel
- Mixed stacking of OCEAN 2 and previous-generation PowerOcean packs is officially supported but capped at 4 modules per stack in mixed use
- EcoFlow's own caveat: installing more than 4 packs in one stack requires checking local regulations and that the current firmware version supports 6-pack stacks
- Each 5 kWh module contributes 3.4 kW discharge / 2.5 kW charge
No separate backup box is required, the three-phase OCEAN 2 switches the load side in 0 ms on grid failure via an integrated bypass.
