In traditional high-voltage battery stacks, connecting modules in rigid series means a single degraded cell limits the entire tower. The EF BD-5-S2 incorporates an active 800 V DC-DC converter in each pack.

Charging lithium batteries in sub-zero winter temperatures causes irreversible lithium plating. The EF BD-5-S2 includes integrated PTC heating elements and thermal aerosol fire suppression. Auto-heating warms battery cells to optimal charging temperatures using solar or grid power. Thermal-activated aerosol module suppresses thermal runaway in milliseconds without water. Upgraded IP66 weatherproof casing certified for exposed outdoor wall installations (-20 to +50 °C).

Holds 4.85 kWh of usable LFP

Usable is 4.85 kWh at 0.2C, 100 percent depth of discharge, 25 C, beginning of life. One brick, one figure.

Grows to 30.12 kWh on one floor stack

One to six modules: 5.02, 10.04, 15.06, 20.08, 25.10, 30.12 kWh. Twelve modules can sit on one OCEAN 2 three-phase inverter.

Pairs with PowerOcean gen-1 packs

Mixed stacks are supported. The mixed stack stops at four modules.
