
EcoFlow EF BD-JC-S1
EcoFlow PowerOcean EF BD-JC-S1 is the battery junction box of the three-phase PowerOcean stack.
- 3 kW to 6 kW single-phase (EF HD-P1) and 6 kW to 12 kW three-phase (EF HD-P3) inverters cover residential through small-commercial loads on the same PowerOcean platform.
- Battery capacity builds in 5.1 kWh EF BD-5.1-S1 packs: up to 15.3 kWh on a single HD-P1 inverter (cascadable to about 45 kWh across three HD-P1 units), or up to 45.9 kWh directly on a single HD-P3 three-phase inverter.
- IP65-rated inverters and battery stacks are specified for -20 to 50 degrees C, so they can sit outdoors or in an unheated plant room.
- Built-in RS485, CAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G give direct EcoFlow app monitoring without extra gateway hardware.

Configuration 2
Only on three-phase PowerOcean systems. EcoFlow lists the EF BD-JC-S1 in every three-phase battery configuration and in none of the single-phase ones.
- Rule: one junction box per stack, on top of the standard one EF BD-B-S1 base; the pack count (1 to 3) does not change it.
- Single-phase: HD-P1 stacks need no junction box, only base plus packs.
- BOM check: a three-phase stack reads EF BD-JC-S1 x 1 + EF BD-5.1-S1 x 1 to 3 + EF BD-B-S1 x 1.
No. Capacity comes from the packs; EcoFlow's stack table shows the same energy figures with and without the junction box.
- Same steps: with the junction box fitted, 1 / 2 / 3 packs still give 5.1 / 10.2 / 15.3 kWh nominal.
- Scaling further: a single HD-P3 three-phase inverter takes up to 45.9 kWh of packs, so larger systems add further stacks, each with its own base and junction box.
- Ordering: quantities follow stack count, not pack count; one junction box per three-phase stack.
Installation & wiring 1
It adds about 160 mm of height and 6.0 to 6.4 kg over the base-only stack, depending on pack count (simple arithmetic on EcoFlow's stack figures); the footprint stays 680 x 183 mm.
- 1 pack: 680 x 183 x 612 mm, 65.6 kg.
- 2 packs: 680 x 183 x 1009 mm, 120.9 kg.
- 3 packs: 680 x 183 x 1406 mm, 176.2 kg.
- Mounting: EcoFlow specifies floor-stand installation for junction-box stacks, so plan a three-phase battery as a floor tower rather than a wall mount.
