Configuration 3

These are the mounting accessories for EcoFlow's OCEAN 2 storage line, and the Stack Bridge also covers the PowerOcean battery.

  • Stack Bridge compatibility: EcoFlow lists the PowerOcean LFP Battery (EF BD-5.1-S1), the OCEAN 2 LFP Battery 5 kWh (EF BD-5-S2) and the OCEAN 2 LFP Battery 8 kWh (EF BD-8-S2).
  • Identical models only: the two towers on a bridge must use the same battery model; mixing 5 kWh and 8 kWh units across one bridge is not permitted.
  • Family context: the OCEAN 2 range here includes the 5.02 kWh (BD-5-S2) and 8 kWh (BD-8-S2) battery modules under the HD-P3-10K0-S2 10 kW three-phase flagship.

One base per floor-standing tower; each base carries a stack of up to 6 OCEAN 2 battery modules.

  • Floor installs: up to 6 modules per tower on one base; a dual-tower system needs two bases.
  • Wall installs: wall-mounted stacks are limited to 3 modules and use wall brackets instead of the base.
  • Dual-tower spacing: when two towers are tied with the Battery Stack Bridge, EcoFlow specifies 94.6 to 104.5 mm between the two OCEAN 2 bases (95.4 to 105.4 mm for PowerOcean bases).

It is required for dual-tower (parallel-stack) battery systems; single towers do not need it.

  • Quantity rule: EcoFlow recommends securing both sides of every battery unit in both towers. Two 6-module towers therefore take 12 brackets.
  • Model rule: both towers on a bridge must be the identical battery model.
  • Seismic zones: add appropriate seismic restraint on top of the bridge brackets.
  • Spacing: set the two OCEAN 2 bases 94.6 to 104.5 mm apart before bridging.

Installation & wiring 2

EcoFlow's OCEAN 2 documentation defines the battery system as junction box, expansion modules and battery base; the base is the mechanical and electrical foundation of the tower.

  • Levelling: adjustable feet plus a built-in spirit level give a fast horizontal check on uneven floors.
  • Wire-free stacking: a click-on stacking terminal; the first module docks onto the base and further modules stack on top without inter-module wiring.
  • Load path: the base carries the whole tower, up to 6 modules on floor installs.

Usually not. OCEAN 2 has a built-in smart meter, which EcoFlow quotes as saving over 50 minutes.

  • Internal meter is enough: when all consumers run behind the inverter's backup output, the system measures whole-home consumption itself.
  • Add the external meter: for topologies where part of the load stays outside the backup path, so the system still sees total grid import and export for optimisation and export limiting.
  • Wiring step: 'Connecting Smart Meter' is a defined step in the official OCEAN 2 installation flow for those topologies.
  • Part number: the exact meter model is confirmed with the quote against the current EcoFlow accessory list.
