Configuration 3

Yes, that is the design intent: the ETR operates as a full 125 kW PV inverter from day one, and the storage system is added later on the 700-1,000 V battery interface without replacing the inverter.

  • Compatible batteries: GoodWe names the BAT-C 208.9 and 261.2 kWh cabinets, enabling self-consumption, peak shaving, backup and microgrid operation
  • Planning constraint: with the GW261.2-BAT-LCD-G10 cabinet, the PV string open-circuit voltage must exceed 813 V

Yes, but the backup side requires a GoodWe STS Box or STS Cabinet (static transfer switch) in front of the protected loads, since the ETR does not carry an internal bypass like GoodWe’s residential all-in-ones.

  • Switchover: under 10 ms with the STS in place
  • Off-grid overload: 120% for 60 s, 150% for 10 s for motor starting

The ETR carries RS485, Wi-Fi, LAN, Bluetooth and 4G with Modbus TCP (SunSpec compatible), so it drops into standard C&I monitoring stacks.

Availability & compliance 1

The datasheet defers grid standards, safety regulation and EMC to GoodWe’s official website, where the ETR download centre publishes the certificate set.

  • Built-in protection: anti-islanding, residual current monitoring, integrated DC switch, Type II surge protection on DC and AC
  • Applicable codes: C&I connections may fall under VDE-AR-N 4105 (LV) or VDE-AR-N 4110 (MV) depending on the site

We confirm the exact current certificate revision and unit/NA-protection documents for your DSO as part of the quote.

Operation & warranty 1

GoodWe’s European limited warranty grants C&I inverters a 5-year limited warranty as standard (extensions purchasable via GoodWe’s warranty portal).

The ETR series is new and not yet named in the warranty document’s series list, so we confirm the ETR-specific warranty term in writing with each quote rather than assume it.
