Description
Symmetrical three-phase charging with automated blackout protection.
GoodWe HCA G2 GW11K-HCA-20 is an 11 kW three-phase smart residential EV wallbox delivering balanced 16 A charging across all three lines, engineered with dynamic load balancing and native solar surplus tracking.
11 kW Balanced Three-Phase Fast Charging
Adds 60–70 km of range per hour of charge across standard European three-phase domestic connections.
Dynamic Household Blackout Prevention
Continuously monitors main service load, automatically throttling charging speed when heat pumps or ovens spike.
100% Green Solar Surplus Modes
Routes excess rooftop solar directly into the vehicle's battery to drive on zero-cost energy.
Integrated Type A + 6 mA DC Protection
Built-in residual current detection eliminates expensive external Type B RCD breakers in the distribution box.
More product details
Charging an electric vehicle while running domestic heat pumps and ovens can overload main household fuses. The GW11K-HCA-20 reads total home power consumption in real time, throttling EV charging dynamically.
- Delivers 16 A continuous charging current equally across L1, L2, and L3 (400 V AC).
- Dynamic load management modulates charging current to prevent main service breaker trips.
- Symmetrical phase power drawing complies natively with European grid regulations.

Driving on self-generated rooftop solar with unified cloud control.
Communicating directly with the GoodWe inverter and smart meter, the charger prioritizes clean, self-generated rooftop electricity over grid power. Solar-Only Mode charges the EV only when rooftop PV generation exceeds domestic baseline demand. Scheduled Charging allows automatic charging during low-cost overnight dynamic tariff windows. RFID card access control and full energy analytics managed via the GoodWe SEMS mobile portal.
Fits a standard 400 V three-phase connection
Draws 16 A on each conductor of a 3L/N/PE supply for an 11 kW charging rate with minimal phase imbalance.
Runs through extreme temperatures from minus 30 to plus 55 C
The IP66 enclosure withstands driving rain, frost, and high heat, with cold-start operation down to minus 30 C.
Pairs with SEMS+ over Wi-Fi, RS485 and LAN
Connects via three communication protocols to GoodWe SEMS+ for custom charging modes and consumption tracking.
Technical data
The standard European residential charging solution engineered for seamless solar integration.
11 kW / 16 A three-phase smart EV wallbox with dynamic home load balancing.
Engineered as the standard three-phase home charging solution, the GW11K-HCA-20 delivers 11,000 W across 3 balanced phases (16 A per phase). It pairs with GoodWe hybrid inverters and smart meters to execute automated dynamic load balancing, preventing main household breaker trips while charging at maximum allowable domestic speed.

Scenarios that show which projects the GoodWe HCA G2 GW11K-HCA-20 (11 kW three-phase EV charger) belongs in, what to verify before quoting, and when another model is the better pick.
Standard Three-Phase European Residences (8–14 kWp Solar)

Single-family homes with 3-phase 400 V electrical service seeking fast, smart EV charging that prioritizes rooftop solar generation.
11 kW (16 A) is the standard domestic connection limit in Germany, Austria, and across Europe, avoiding utility fast-charging surcharges while adding 60–70 km of range per hour.

GoodWe HCA G2 Series EV Charger Datasheet (Single Phase 7kW / Three Phase 11/22kW)Product questions
What breaker size and wiring cross-section are required for the 11 kW charger?
3-pole 16 A or 20 A MCB; 5 × 2.5 mm² to 5 × 6 mm² copper cable. For continuous 16 A three-phase operation, install a 3-pole 16 A or 20 A circuit breaker (Type B or C) paired with 5 × 2.5 mm² copper conductors (or 5 × 4 mm² / 6 mm² for runs over 20 meters to prevent voltage drop).
Can this charger dynamically switch between single-phase and three-phase charging?
Yes. Intelligent 1-phase/3-phase phase switching maximizes low solar capture. On partly cloudy or winter days when solar surplus is low (e.g., 1.5 kW to 3.5 kW), the G2 model can automatically drop to single-phase solar charging (starting at ~1.4 kW / 6 A), switching back to three-phase charging as solar generation increases past 4.2 kW.

Recommended components
GoodWe GM3000 three-phase smart meter
Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GM3000
Dynamic load control and PV-surplus charging need a grid-point measurement. In a GoodWe PV system the smart meter installed with the inverter already provides it, add a meter only for standalone charger installs.
GoodWe ESA GW10K-ETA-G20 all-in-one
Item number: DLK-GOODWE-GW10KETAG20
The charger's solar-charging modes come alive with a GoodWe PV+storage system: the ESA connects GoodWe AC charging piles directly per its manual, and both are managed in the same SEMS+ app.
