Chint DDSU666 (single-phase DIN-rail smart meter, direct to 80 A)
Description
Chint DTSU666 is an 80 A direct-connect three-phase smart energy meter featuring European MID certification, Class 1.0 accuracy, and high-speed RS485 Modbus RTU telemetry, engineered for dynamic zero-export control and solar self-consumption optimization on residential hybrid inverters.
Eliminates external current transformers (CTs) and secondary wiring, simplifying distribution box installation for standard 3-phase domestic services.
European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) certified, ensuring utility-grade metering accuracy for sub-billing and solar compliance.
Pre-calibrated communication profile natively supported by SAJ, GoodWe, and major European inverter brands via RS485.
Displays real-time voltage, current, active power, reactive power, power factor, and bidirectional kWh import/export.
Wiring external split-core current transformers in cramped residential breaker panels adds clutter and potential phase-rotation wiring errors. The DTSU666 feeds main phase conductors (up to 25 mm²) directly through internal measurement shunts.

Executing tight feed-in limitation requires rapid communication between the meter and the hybrid inverter. The DTSU666 transmits bidirectional power data at up to 9600 baud. High-speed RS485 Modbus RTU interface broadcasts power metrics to inverters every few hundred milliseconds. MID approval (Class B active energy accuracy) certifies the meter for tenant sub-billing and solar subsidies. Standard 35 mm DIN-rail mount (72 mm / 4U width) fits standard domestic electrical panels.
72 x 100 x 65 mm on standard 35 mm rail. It is a sub-distribution device by size as well as by job, and the four modules are worth reserving while the board is still being drawn.
2 W or less at 10 VA across 3x220/380 to 3x240/415 V, and it tolerates 0.8 to 1.15 Un. A device that runs every hour of the system's life costs effectively nothing to run.
Class B active accuracy at 50 and 60 Hz, with import and export kept as separate registers. That separation is what makes self-consumption and feed-in readable as two numbers rather than one net figure.
Zero-CT direct measurement engineered for residential three-phase hybrid solar and dynamic export regulation.
Serving as the European benchmark for three-phase residential solar metering, the Chint DTSU666 measures direct currents up to 80 A without requiring external current transformers. Pre-configured with RS485 Modbus RTU communication, it provides high-speed power data for SAJ and GoodWe hybrid inverters to execute dynamic zero-export and self-consumption optimization.
Project fit
Scenarios that show which projects the Chint DTSU666 belongs in, what to verify before quoting, and when another model is the better pick.

Single-family homes with standard three-phase 400 V grid service (up to 80 A main breaker) installing an SAJ or GoodWe hybrid inverter.
Direct-connect architecture avoids CT wiring, providing clean, reliable grid telemetry.
Up to 25 mm² stranded copper conductors. The meter's heavy-duty brass tunnel terminals accept up to 25 mm² stranded copper cable (or 35 mm² solid), accommodating standard residential main service cables up to 80 A.

Item number: DLK-MBS-KBU58-400-5A
DTSU666-CT needs 3 external CTs with a 5 A secondary (not included with the meter): KBU 58 supplies that interface across six ratios. Not needed for the direct-connect DTSU666.
