Yes. CHS2 is an all-in-one cabinet with the LiFePO4 battery factory-installed; you pick the capacity when ordering.
- Capacity options: 57.3, 71.6, 85.9 or 100.3 kWh rated energy, on any of the three power classes.
- Weight follows capacity: 1035, 1145, 1255 and 1365 kg respectively, in the same 1980 x 988 x 1065 mm cabinet.
- Battery current: up to 150 A charging and discharging on all versions.
- Warranty: SAJ states a 10 year warranty for the system.
- Ordering: state the power class and the kWh option in your request.
Power class and MPPT count; the battery options and the cabinet are identical.
- CHS2-29.9K-T4-X: rated and maximum apparent power both held at 29999 VA, 4 MPPT, PV array up to 59998 Wp. Choose it where the connection must stay under 30 kVA.
- CHS2-30K-T4-X: 30000 W rated, 33000 VA maximum, peak backup 45000 VA for 5 s, 4 MPPT, PV up to 60000 Wp.
- CHS2-50K-T6-X: 50000 W rated, 55000 VA maximum, peak backup 75000 VA for 5 s, 6 MPPT, PV up to 100000 Wp.
- Common core: MPPT window 180 to 850 V, 2 strings per tracker, 45 A per tracker input, per SAJ's datasheet.
Two to ten CHS2 units run in parallel, coordinated by the SAJ eManager-C1 Pro communication box.
- Controller: the eManager-C1 Pro datasheet states its recommended use as CHS2, 2 to 10 units in parallel.
- Scale example: ten CHS2-50K-T6-X at 100.3 kWh each is 500 kW and 10 x 100.3 = 1003 kWh, by simple arithmetic on the datasheet figures.
- Communication: each cabinet offers Wi-Fi, Ethernet and RS485 for the link to monitoring and the controller.
Operation & warranty 1
The transfer switch is built in; the cabinet moves from on-grid to off-grid in 20 ms without external switchgear.
- Backup power: 29999 VA on the 29.9K, 33000 VA on the 30K and 55000 VA on the 50K, with 5 s peaks of 45000 VA and 75000 VA on the 30K and 50K.
- Switching: 20 ms on-grid to off-grid via the built-in STS; no external transfer switch is needed.
- Generator: a generator port accepts up to the unit's rated power at 200 A, so a diesel generator connects without extra equipment.
- Output quality: THDv below 3 percent on linear loads, per SAJ.
Installation & wiring 1
The cabinet is outdoor-rated; plan for its mass and its DC string layout at the installation.
- Enclosure: IP55 cabinet with an IP66 inverter section, air-conditioner cooling, -30 to +50 C operation with derating from 45 C, up to 2000 m altitude.
- Handling: 1980 x 988 x 1065 mm and 1035 to 1365 kg depending on the battery option; check the foundation and the lifting access.
- PV wiring: strings land in a 180 to 850 V MPPT window, 1000 V maximum DC, 2 strings per tracker at up to 45 A per tracker.
- Protection: Type II surge protection on DC and AC, integrated AFCI and anti-islanding, RSD optional.
