Pylontech PowerCube-M2A-180 (107.98 kWh, 19 x HM2A180)

Pylontech PowerCube-M2A-180: an LFP battery rack of 1 to 19 HM2A180 modules, 5.6832 to 107.98 kWh, priced here at 107.98 kWh.

  • Scales 1 to 19 modules: 5.6832 to 107.98 kWh at 38.4 to 729.6 V, in steps of one 5.6832 kWh HM2A180 module.
  • 5,000 cycles and a 15+ year design life at 90% depth of discharge — LFP chemistry, 95% round-trip at 1C.
  • Natural cooling and IP20: no fans, no refrigerant circuit, nothing in the rack that needs servicing to keep the battery cool.
  • Certified to IEC62619 and CE EMC, with UN38.3 for transport.

Configuration 3

The configuration named in the title: 19 x HM2A180 modules, giving 107.98 kWh.

  • Why a configuration and not just a model: Pylontech uses one model name for the whole range. PowerCube-M2A-180 means anything from 1 to 19 modules, 5.6832 to 107.98 kWh. A single price cannot cover that.
  • A different size: tell us the module count or the kWh you want on the enquiry and we will price that configuration. The step is one 5.6832 kWh module.

1 to 19. That is Pylontech's own figure from the manual linked on this page.

  • Worth saying because we had it wrong: our own data previously carried a lower ceiling, taken from the manual's dimension row — which states the module count at which a SECOND rack is needed, not the count at which the system stops. Corrected on 2026-08-10 against the manual.
  • Above one rack: the larger counts occupy two racks. The specification table on this page gives both rack cases and their weights.

That is a project question, and we will not guess it on a catalogue page.

  • What the battery offers: the voltage window and communication in the table above — Modbus RTU and CAN and TCP/IP.
  • What decides it: whether your inverter's own battery compatibility list names this PowerCube and this firmware. Pylontech and the inverter manufacturer both publish that list, and it changes.
  • What we will do: tell us the inverter on the enquiry and we will confirm the pairing against both lists before quoting.

Installation & wiring 1

A floor-standing rack, naturally cooled, IP20 — so indoors, in a dry room.

  • IP20 means indoor: there is no weather sealing. This is not an outdoor cabinet.
  • Temperature: 10 to 40 °C — a narrower window than the residential racks, worth checking against an unconditioned plant room.
  • Floor loading: the weight formula is in the table. Check it against the floor before ordering — at the top of the range these racks are well over half a tonne.
  • Cooling: natural. No fans and no refrigerant circuit, but the room still has to shed the heat.

Availability & compliance 1

Per project, and because we will not show you a different battery.

  • Supply: PowerCube is not carried by the German tier-1 distributors — Krannich's Pylontech range is Force H3 and H3X only, and Memodo and BayWa r.e. Germany carry none. We source it from second-tier European channels, so this is a project order and the lead time is confirmed after order rather than promised here.
  • Freight: multi-pallet, dangerous goods (UN38.3 lithium battery), and the modules ship separately from the rack and controller.
  • Imagery: we hold no PowerCube photograph. Our Pylontech images are Force H3, US5000 and Fidus racks — they look similar and are different products, so showing one here would be misleading. Ask and we will send Pylontech's own images with the quote.
  • Documentation: Pylontech's installation manual, linked below. There is no current PowerCube datasheet — Pylontech's published line is 18 models and none of them is a PowerCube, so the manual is the primary source and we host a copy so the link keeps working.
