Availability & compliance 2

The FB-L-5.12-EU carries the following certifications.

  • Lithium-battery safety: IEC 62619 and IEC 63056
  • Storage-system safety: VDE 2510-50, the standard German installers look for on home batteries
  • Other: IEC 62477-1, UN38.3 transport testing, plus RoHS, REACH, WEEE and EMC/CE

Grid codes such as VDE-AR-N 4105 / EN 50549 apply to the inverter, not the DC-coupled battery: overall grid compliance comes from the hybrid inverter you pair it with.

Configuration 3

From a single 5.12 kWh module up to 583 kWh (1-114 modules).

  • Single group: up to 20 modules standalone
  • Multiple groups: up to 6 strings, requiring the Pylontech LV-HUB-V2 as the parallel master, with up to 19 batteries per group

This makes the same module usable from a small home system to a small commercial storage bank, size the DC bus, fusing and inverter charge current to the bank and confirm the layout with the quote.

Pylontech promotes compatibility with 50+ popular inverter brands over the standard low-voltage CAN/RS485 BMS interfaces, the successor position to Pylontech’s US-series, which is the de-facto LV compatibility benchmark.

Approval is still model-specific: check that your hybrid or off-grid inverter’s battery list includes the Fidus Pro profile (firmware version matters), or ask us to verify for your project before ordering.

Two versions exist.

  • Standard version: -10 C to 55 C
  • Self-heating version: extends to -20 C; cell-level heating activates between -20 C and -10 C, with charging/discharging allowed above -10 C; the BMS limits current in extreme temperatures
  • Enclosure: IP65 with C5-M anti-corrosion, suits outdoor and coastal mounting

For unheated or outdoor German installations, specify the self-heating version.

Operation & warranty 1

The datasheet states a 15-year design life (25 C) and 8000 cycles (25 C, 0.5C, SOC 5-95%).

Pylontech has not published a model-specific warranty-retention figure for the Fidus Pro on the datasheet, warranty terms follow the manufacturer’s warranty policy for your market, so request the current warranty document with the quote and register the battery via Pylontech’s battery-registration service.
