Availability & compliance 2
The FB-L-16 is certified to the relevant lithium-battery safety standards, but grid compliance sits with the inverter, not the battery.
- Battery certification: IEC 62619 and IEC 63056, transport-tested to UN38.3, CE/EMC marked
- Grid codes: VDE-AR-N 4105 or EN 50549 apply to the inverter, not to a DC-coupled battery; grid compliance of the overall installation comes from the hybrid inverter you pair it with

The Fidus Battery Plus is a 51.2 V low-voltage battery that communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485, the interface used by common low-voltage hybrid and off-grid inverters.
- Broad support: Pylontech's LV batteries are known for broad third-party inverter support; the sibling Fidus Pro datasheet advertises 50+ compatible inverter brands
- Approval is model-specific: confirm that your inverter's battery-compatibility list includes the FB-L-16 firmware profile before ordering, or ask us to check for your project
The current official spec allows up to 16 units in one battery group and up to 6 parallel strings (groups).
- Multi-group setups: the Pylontech LV-HUB-V2 is required as the parallel master; the datasheet footnote limits groups to 19 batteries with the hub
- Capacity: with 16 kWh per unit, this supports storage banks well beyond residential scale

- Charging limit: the base FB-L-16 charges only between 0 C and 55 C, so in an unheated garage or outdoor mounting in a German winter the battery may refuse to charge on cold mornings
- Cold-site fix: for cold sites, specify the FB-L-16-Pro variant, which charges and discharges across -20 C to 55 C (battery heating activates between -20 C and 0 C per the datasheet)
