Description
Comprehensive cell-level monitoring with integrated motorized DC isolation.
Pylontech FC0500M-40S is the high-voltage master battery management system (BMS) controller unit that sits atop Pylontech Force-H2 battery columns, managing active cell balancing, DC contactor isolation, and seamless hybrid inverter communication.
Master High-Voltage Control & Safety
Actively coordinates 2 to 4 series-connected FH9637M modules (192 V to 384 V), executing sub-second overcurrent and thermal protection.
40 A High-Throughput Power Handling
Drives up to 15 kW of continuous DC battery charge and discharge power into leading European hybrid inverters.
Cable-Free Slide-and-Lock Mating
Plugs directly into the top battery module via internal self-aligning busbars, eliminating external DC jumper conduits.
IP55 Weatherproof Outdoor Construction
Sealed die-cast housing designed for unheated garages, cellars, and sheltered outdoor alcoves (-10 to +50 °C).
More product details
Managing high-voltage series battery strings requires precision telemetry. The FC0500M-40S aggregates real-time data from sub-BMS chips inside every FH9637M module, balancing cell states and managing DC contactors.
- Real-time monitoring of individual cell voltages, module temperatures, and insulation resistance to ground.
- Integrated motorized DC circuit breaker automatically isolates the stack during overcurrent, short circuit, or thermal events.
- CAN and Modbus RTU communication interfaces support major inverter protocols (GoodWe, SMA, Sungrow, Solis, Victron).

Internal busbar mating for clean, tool-free installation.
Traditional high-voltage battery cabinets require routing external DC cables between modules and the master controller. The FC0500M-40S slides directly onto the top module, engaging high-voltage and communication busbars internally. Self-aligning guide pins ensure perfect mechanical seating and electrical contact upon placement. Eliminates exposed high-voltage DC wiring on garage and utility room walls, maximizing residential safety. Compact 450 × 296 × 190 mm dimensions preserve low ceiling clearance in domestic basements.
Holds two to five bricks
Two bricks are the floor. Five bricks are the ceiling. The string stays one battery.
Takes CAN, RS-485 and RS-232
The hybrid hears one battery. Limits and alarms travel on that link.
Runs six towers in parallel
Each tower keeps its own FC0500M-40S. An HV combiner can collect the strings.
Technical data
Centralizing cell-level safety, active balancing, and hybrid inverter communication in a compact top unit.
High-voltage master BMS controller for Pylontech Force-H2 modular columns.
Engineered as the intelligence and safety gateway for Pylontech Force-H2 residential storage towers, the FC0500M-40S sits directly on the top battery module. It oversees real-time cell balancing, state-of-charge calculation, and motorized DC isolation across 7.10 to 14.21 kWh stacks, broadcasting telemetry to leading hybrid inverters via CAN and Modbus protocols.

Mandatory Master Controller for Force-H2 Battery Towers (7.1 to 14.2 kWh)

Mandatory top control unit whenever configuring a new Pylontech Force-H2 battery tower with 2, 3, or 4 FH9637M modules.
One FC0500M-40S is required per battery column to house the master BMS and provide physical connection to the inverter.

Can the FC0500M-40S controller work with 1 single FH9637M module (3.55 kWh)?
No. Minimum configuration is 2 modules (7.10 kWh / 192 V DC). High-voltage three-phase hybrid inverters have starting battery voltage floors typically between 150 V and 180 V. A single FH9637M module provides only 96 V. Therefore, the minimum operating configuration for a Force-H2 column is 2 modules (192 V nominal).
What is the continuous charge/discharge current limit of this controller?
40 A continuous (up to approx. 15 kW DC power at 384 V). The controller's internal motorized contactors and power bus are rated for 40 A continuous DC current (recommended standard continuous current is 37 A for maximum battery lifespan).
System components
Required components
Pylontech FC0500M-40S-V2
Item number: DLK-PYLONTECH-FC0500M40SV2
Force-H2 modules stack behind this controller/BMS master, the string does not run without it.
Chint DTSU666 smart meter
Item number: DLK-CHINT-DTSU666
grid-side meter typically required by the paired hybrid inverter for export limiting.
Recommended components
MBS KBU58 400/5A CT
Item number: DLK-MBS-KBU58-400-5A
sized CT for the DTSU666 meter; choose the KBU58 amperage that matches the site's actual service current, not the battery current.
Optional components
Pylontech FH9637M module
Item number: DLK-PYLONTECH-FH9637M
add modules (2-4 per controller, up to 6 parallel groups) to grow capacity within the same string architecture.
