EF HD-P1-4K6-S2 is the 4,600 W model of the EcoFlow OCEAN 2 single-phase hybrid range. Two MPPT channels take up to 10,600 W of PV; 10,600 W is the PV input limit, not the AC power delivered to the house.

Rated on-grid output is 4,600 W. On the PV side, two MPPT channels and a 10,600 W maximum shape the string plan without turning this into a 10,600 W AC inverter.

Two MPPT channels at 4.6 kW AC

Rated on-grid output is 4,600 W. The PV side allows 10,600 W maximum, with two MPPT channels and a 90–520 V MPPT window.

A separate BACKUP output

BACKUP maximum output is 4,600 VA. The circuits wired to that output are the backup side; this rating is not a whole-house continuity promise.

WLAN, Bluetooth, WAN and optional 4G

Communication is RS485, CAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, WAN and 4G. The IOT dongle in the carton is configured at commissioning; the 4G dongle is optional.

A single-phase connection at 4.6 kW AC

The project has a single-phase grid connection and does not need a higher AC rating.

Two MPPT channels and a 10,600 W PV limit sit on a 4,600 W AC rating. GRID connection is L+N+PE at 220/230/240 V.

Limits for the configuration

Product questions

Which circuits receive power through the HD-P1-4K6-S2 BACKUP connection?

The unit has a dedicated BACKUP output rated 4,600 VA. The circuits wired to that output form the backup side; other building circuits are not made backup circuits by the inverter rating alone.

How many of these inverters can be cascaded?

Up to three EF HD-P1-(3K/3K68/4K6/5K/5K75/6K)-S2 units can be cascaded. Each cascaded inverter has its own RCD.

Is the IOT dongle required?

The EcoFlow IOT-Dongle ESS is in the inverter carton and must be configured. A 4G dongle ESS (EU) is optional and obtained separately.
