Configuration 2

Pick by the current at the metering point: the DTSU666 meters directly up to 80 A per phase; above that, or on retrofit installs, use the DTSU666-CT with external transformers.

  • DTSU666: direct connection, 0.25 to 5(80) A, Class B / 1.0 active energy.
  • DTSU666-CT: reads three /5 A current transformers on a 0.015 to 1.5(6) A input, Class C / 0.5S with the CTs.
  • Same housing: both are 72 x 100 x 65 mm DIN-rail units on a 3P4W connection, rated 3x220/380 to 3x240/415 V.

SAJ documents the DTSU666 as the three-phase smart meter of its zero-export solution; the meter sits at the grid connection point and reports import and export to the inverter in real time.

  • Interface: RS485 with Modbus-RTU protocol.
  • Bidirectional registers: import and export kWh and kvarh, plus kW, kvar, kVA, phase currents and voltages, frequency and power factor.
  • Other brands: the Modbus-RTU output is the common interface; confirm your specific inverter's supported meter list with the quote.

Installation & wiring 1

Both variants clip to a 35 mm DIN rail on a 3P4W connection; the RS485 pair runs to the inverter or EMS.

  • Bus settings: Modbus-RTU at 9600 bps by default, selectable 1200 to 19200 bps.
  • CT wiring (CT version): three transformers with a /5 A secondary, one per phase, into the 1.5(6) A input; the CTs are not included with the meter. The MBS KBU 58 split-core family covers that interface in six ratios.
  • Environment: IP20, -25 to +55 C, up to 95 percent RH non-condensing, consumption 2 W or less.

Availability & compliance 1

Both variants are MID-certified to EN 50470-1/-3 with MID modules B and D, per Chint's documentation.

  • Accuracy: Class B / 1.0 active energy on the direct DTSU666; Class C / 0.5S through the CT input on the DTSU666-CT.
  • Scope: MID certification applies to the meter itself; grid-code approvals for the plant sit with the inverter side.
  • Project file: confirm the certificate set your network operator requires with the quote.

Operation & warranty 1

Both variants meter bidirectionally and display values locally.

  • Registers: import and export kWh and kvarh; kW, kvar and kVA; RMS current and voltage per phase; frequency and power factor.
  • Display: backlit LCD on the DTSU666, 7-digit 7-segment display on the DTSU666-CT, plus a pulse-output LED on both.
  • CT sizing (CT version): the three transformers are sized to the incomer; 200/5 is a common rating.
