3-pole 16 A or 20 A MCB; 5 × 2.5 mm² to 5 × 6 mm² copper cable. For continuous 16 A three-phase operation, install a 3-pole 16 A or 20 A circuit breaker (Type B or C) paired with 5 × 2.5 mm² copper conductors (or 5 × 4 mm² / 6 mm² for runs over 20 meters to prevent voltage drop).
Does this charger require an external Type B RCD in the electrical panel?
No. Built-in Type A + 6 mA DC leakage protection is standard. The AC011K-AE-35 integrates internal Type A residual current detection plus 6 mA DC fault protection, fully satisfying European standard IEC 62955. A standard, inexpensive Type A RCD in the main distribution box is all that is required.
