Description
Precision phase-by-phase metering for 100% asymmetric output.
GoodWe GM3000 is a three-phase smart energy meter measuring real-time voltage, current, and bidirectional power across all 3 lines, engineered to provide high-speed telemetry for GoodWe ET and BT inverters for dynamic zero-export and 100% phase-unbalanced load compensation.
High-Accuracy Three-Phase Metering
Measures all 3 phases (L1, L2, L3) with Class 1.0 accuracy to calculate precise household energy balance in real time.
Enables 100% Phase Unbalanced Output
Feeds phase-by-phase load data to GoodWe hybrid inverters to eliminate single-phase grid draw penalties.
Instantaneous Zero-Export Control
Modulates inverter power output at sub-second intervals to prevent unauthorized grid injection.
Compact 4-Module DIN-Rail Format
Sits neatly in standard European electrical distribution sub-panels with standard RS485 communication.
More product details
Managing three-phase domestic loads with uneven single-phase appliances requires individual line measurement. The GM3000 continuously tracks active power on L1, L2, and L3, signaling the inverter to balance output dynamically.
- Independent current and voltage sampling across all 3 phases (3L+N+PE).
- Enables GoodWe ET inverters to direct up to 100% of capacity onto a single heavily loaded phase.
- Eliminates utility meter unbalance penalties and ensures zero-export compliance.

High-speed inverter synchronization with low power consumption.
The GM3000 communicates over a robust RS485 twisted-pair bus, providing real-time power telemetry to the inverter control loop and the GoodWe SEMS cloud portal. High-speed Modbus RTU protocol pre-configured for GoodWe three-phase inverters. Backlit LCD display shows real-time grid voltage, line currents, frequency, and cumulative kWh import/export. Low internal standby power draw (< 3 W) ensures minimal parasitic system losses.
Includes three non-replaceable 120 A CTs
Three pre-matched 120 A : 40 mA transformers clip onto conductors directly. The clamps are calibrated to the meter and cannot be replaced.
Sits on two DIN modules
Measuring 36 x 85 x 66.5 mm and weighing 450 g, the two-module unit integrates into standard 35 mm rail distributions.
Talks to inverters over RS485
RS485 communication streams real-time three-phase active energy, voltage, and current data to compatible inverters.
Technical data

GoodWe Smart Meter datasheet: GM1000 / GM1000D / GM3000 (EN)Product questions
Is this meter required for the GoodWe ET hybrid inverter to charge from solar?
Yes. Required to measure household power flow and prevent grid export. Without the GM3000 meter, the inverter cannot know how much power the household is consuming versus exporting to the grid. The meter is mandatory for dynamic self-consumption, battery charging from solar surplus, and zero-export limitation.
Can the GM3000 be installed in a sub-panel away from the main meter?
It must be installed at the main grid connection point (PCC). To accurately measure total household electricity import and export, the meter must be installed directly after the main utility meter / main service breaker, before any branch circuits or solar connections.
