  • GM1000: one CT — one circuit measured.
  • GM1000D: two CTs — two circuits from one meter.
  • Neither is a better version of the other. Pick by how many circuits you need to see: a plain PV feed takes the GM1000, a site that also meters a charger or a sub-circuit takes the D.

No — this is the single-phase meter. For three-phase, GoodWe's own MODEL row gives the GM3000, which de-linker also sells.

  • Single-phase: GM1000 or GM1000D (this range).
  • Three-phase: GM3000.
  • All three are SEMS-ecosystem meters on RS485; the difference is what they can measure.

Installation & wiring 1

Two DIN modules in the distribution board, with the CTs around the conductor at the point of connection.

  • CT ratio is 120 A:40 mA, 2 supplied against the meter.
  • RS485 back to the inverter, good for 1000 m, so the meter goes where the measurement has to happen rather than next to the inverter.
  • IP20: it belongs inside an enclosure, not on a wall.
